Machů, Jana ; Vlachynský, Ladislav (referee) ; Boleslavská, Yvona (advisor) ; Matějka, Libor (advisor)
The theme of this bachelor thesis is the design of the building of the Parking house for the Dukovany nuclear power plant. The basis of this work is based on the subject AG035 – Architectural design studio 5. The area is flat and large enough, so there was a requirement to repeat the building on this land in the second stage of construction. Therefore, two mirror-identical objects (SO01 and SO02) are designed in one area. In this bachelor work is solved object SO01. The land is trapezoidal, half of which now has a parking area. Along the northwest boundary of the plot lies a road to which the plot connects in the northern part. Now the land is located on the northwest side of the nuclear power plant, however, the construction of another part of the power plant is planned and thus the parking house will occur in the middle of these two units. The parking house is designed as a four-storey building with 787 parking spaces. It is a simple mass in the shape of a block, which is accentuated by a protruding cantilevered staircase on each side of the building. The building also visually plays on the facade with its closed and open areas, which are covered by aluminum slats. Structurally the building is designed as reinforced concrete, for the most part prefabricated (columns, girders and ceiling panels) for speed and simplicity of construction, but there is also used monolithic reinforced concrete (walls and ceiling slabs) to reinforce the building. The construction system is bidirectional.
Influence of physical parameters and age of power lines on PLC/BPL performance and reliability
Benešl, Lukáš ; Sláčik, Ján (referee) ; Mlýnek, Petr (advisor)
BPL technology is quite widespread nowadays and the public is also somewhat aware of it. This technology can be used as a means of communication without the need to install additional media and thus use the existing infrastructure. In an effort to use the full potential of the technology, BPL communication began to be used to monitor the current state of cables in distribution networks online. Where the technology is already fully implemented, the distributor can use the data to evaluate the current situation. In this way, BPL technology can be used as a diagnostic tool to test the quality of a cable connection on which not only time but also humidity and other external influences could have a significant effect.

Mapping of controversy on the amount of brown coal in Doly Nástup Tušimice
Pecka, Vojtěch ; Balon, Jan (advisor) ; Čada, Karel (referee)
Abstract The research utilizes 'actor-network' theory to analyze debates in the media on the socio-technical controversy on the topic of the amount of coal in the Nástup Tušimice mines. Theoretical part describes its own place in the sociological tradition and theoretical presuppositions of actor-network theory. My conclusion is that, the controversy is being developed alongside several lines, which remain relatively autonomous. Empirical part of this study analyzes dynamics of the conflict and the strategies employed by both sides in the argument over seemingly unequivocal fact. The conclusion focuses on questionable areas of ANT; especially on it's application in research of conflicts in public space which is different from its use in sociology of science where ANT originated. Problematic point seems to be utilization of management of transparency, which is employed by the alliance of companies to sustain their version of reality. Emphasis of ANT on observable aspects of controversies seems to be obstacle for fruitful use of ANT, because it probably misses the crucial areas where the controversies are being developed.

Kraevská, Markéta ; Bednařík, Petr (advisor) ; Hanzal, Jaromír (referee)
The diploma thesis The CEZ affair from the perspective of the Czech and Bulgarian press deals with the media portrayal of the unrests in Bulgaria in February and March 2013, which were caused by the high prices for electricity that had been supplied, among others, by the parastatal Czech company CEZ. This company became a symbol of the protests. The basis for the analysis and comparison consists of the Czech dailies Mladá fronta Dnes, Právo, Hospodářské noviny and the Bulgarian dailies Trud, 24 chasa and Standart. The reference period is February 2013, when the protests began and subsequently culminated at the end of the month. This work aims to describe how the whole affair was depicted in selected examples of Czech and Bulgarian press. Subsequently, these two approaches are compared. In addition to the analysis, the thesis also touches the topic of modern history of Bulgaria and an outline of Czech-Bulgarian relations. The individual periodicals used for the analysis, as well as the energetical concept of Bulgaria are introduced in order to achieve easier understanding of the entire problem.
